Show Your Dissent through Loving Kindness!
The Buddha said, "Hatred is not appeased by hatred. It is love alone that will conquer hatred."
Today we have the opportunity to use our practice -- no matter what faith background we come from -- to join together in meditation.
Together our silence and prayers will be our voice of dissent.
Please join us a half hour's meditation at Daley Plaza, in front of the Picasso statue,
to send a wish for loving kindness to all the leaders in the world.

WHAT WE'RE DOING: Please wear dark clothes, bring towel to sit on if you're able. We will be reciting Meditation on Loving Kindness (below). Or if you prefer, simply do your own practice according to your own traditions! Please print out and bring with you - we will also have copies available. Look for Phil Solomonson or Jennifer Harris (wearing black). We will give you orange square buttons to wear.
NOTE: we do not have permits to do this. Therefore, we will sit and if we are asked to leave, we will quickly line up tightly and do a walking meditation. If you are not familiar with this, please just quietly and quickly gather behind Jennifer and Phil and walk together around the block in silent meditation.

May I be peaceful, happy and well.
