 Mapping Consciousness
with Samuel Sagan, M.D.

Can states of consciousness be systematically explored? Can experiences of nonphysical spaces lend themselves to detailed mapping for purposes of teaching and repetition? Can a language be developed to describe experiences of consciousness in a tangible, objective way? This talk explores the method developed and the results achieved after 18 years of work and research at one meditation school in Sydney, Australia. It discusses topics such as subtle bodies, meditation and healing, and how foundations can be established towards a science of consciousness.
Originally from Paris, France, Samuel Sagan began his career as a medical doctor, first gearing his studies towards neurosurgery and psychiatry. He then went on to acquire further qualifications in acupuncture and homeopathy.
While completing his studies, Sagan spent many years meditating and studying under Indian and Taoist masters. Feeling a need to establish a center in the West where genuine seekers could receive real training in meditation, Samuel Sagan founded the Clairvision School in Sydney, Australia. There, he explored ways to systematize experiences of consciousness, determined to find techniques that really work. This led to the development of the Clairvision Foundation, a team of people engaged in large-scale mapping of states of consciousness and cosmological levels.
Sagan is the author of 15 books, including a manual entitled A Language to Map Consciousness that describes a detailed terminology for experiences and spaces of consciousness. His nonfiction books cover topics including regression therapy, planetary forces, nonphysical parasites and awakening the third eye. He has also authored a number of fictional novels and stories, notably the spiritual tetralogy entitled Atlantean Secrets.
